About us
A small Ghanaian farm with a love for mushrooms
Maros Mushroom grows white button mushrooms in shaded growing houses in Ghana. What started as a small family effort has grown into a farm supplying homes, restaurants and resellers with fresh mushrooms — and dried ones for the cupboard.

How we grow
From compost bed to your kitchen
Mushrooms don’t grow like ordinary crops. Ours fruit on carefully prepared compost beds inside growing houses where we control shade, moisture and airflow. Each bed is tended daily, and mushrooms are picked by hand at just the right size — firm, closed caps with the best flavour.
Because we grow locally, your mushrooms don’t spend days in transit. They go from bed to box to your kitchen while they’re still at their best.
How we work
Freshness first
We harvest close to delivery time. Mushrooms are at their best in the first days after picking, and we plan around that.
Careful hands
Every mushroom is picked, cleaned and packed by hand. Gentle handling keeps the caps whole and the flavour intact.
Nothing wasted
Mushrooms that don’t go out fresh are dried, so the harvest always finds its way to a kitchen.
